These terms apply to the Woof: Dog Translator & Talk app, made and published by Dolzhenko Dev. By installing or using the app you accept them.
They sit on top of the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, which apply to everything bought through the App Store; they do not replace them.
What this app is
An entertainment app about living with a dog. It records a sound and answers with a phrase or a bark, plays whistle and clicker tones, offers small games, and contains a set of illustrated training lessons.
The lessons describe ordinary, reward-based training that dog owners have used for years. They are general information, not instructions written for your particular dog.
What it is not
It is not a translator. Dogs do not have a language that can be translated into human words, and the app does not analyse what your dog said. The reply is chosen by the app from phrases and sounds written and recorded in advance and shipped inside it. It is meant to be entertaining, not accurate, and nothing in it should be read as what your dog actually means.
It is not veterinary or behavioural advice, and it does not diagnose anything. If your dog is unwell, frightened, in pain or behaving in a way that worries you, see a veterinarian or a qualified trainer. Do not use this app to decide anything about your dog's health.
The whistle and clicker produce ordinary sounds through your device's speaker. Their effect on a dog depends on the dog, and no result is promised.
Subscription
Part of the app is free. The rest — the remaining sounds, lessons and games, and unlimited use of the whistle and the clicker — is opened by a subscription.
The price, the billing period and the length of any free trial are shown on the purchase screen before you confirm, in the currency of your App Store account. Payment is charged to that account on confirmation.
The subscription renews automatically at the same price for the same period unless you cancel it at least twenty-four hours before the current period ends. Cancelling is done in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions, not in the app; deleting the app does not cancel anything.
Refunds are handled by Apple under its own rules; we cannot issue them ourselves. If a free trial is offered and you subscribe before it ends, the unused part of the trial is forfeited.
Your data
What the app stores and what it does not is described in the Privacy Policy. In short: recordings, photos and your dog's profile stay on your device and are not sent to us.
The recordings and profile are kept only in the app's storage, and there is no backup on our side. If you delete the app or reset the device, they are gone and cannot be restored by us.
Rights to the app
The app, its texts, illustrations, sounds and code belong to Dolzhenko Dev and are protected by copyright. You get the right to use the app on your own devices for your own, non-commercial purposes.
You may not copy, sell or sublicense the app, extract its content for a product of your own, or decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to derive its source code — except where the law expressly allows it despite this restriction.
Your device and your connection
You are responsible for your device and for keeping it in a fit state to run the app. Removing the manufacturer's software restrictions may break the app or make it unsafe, and we do not support that.
The app itself works offline. Buying and restoring a subscription needs a connection, and any data charges your operator makes for it are yours to pay.
Limitation of liability
The app is provided as it is. We cannot promise that it will be free of errors or available without interruption.
We are not liable for what you decide to do on the basis of what the app says, for how your dog reacts to it, or for damage caused by using it in a way it was not meant for. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Updates and discontinuation
The app may be updated, and features may be added, changed or withdrawn. Your device's settings decide whether updates install by themselves.
We may stop publishing the app. If that happens, an active subscription will not be renewed, and the app will keep working on your device until iOS or the App Store makes that impossible.
Changes
These terms may change. The revision date at the top of the page shows when they last did, and the current version is the one published here. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
