Terms of Use

Meow: Human to Cat Translator ·

These terms apply to the Meow: Human to Cat Translator app, made and published by Dolzhenko Dev. By installing or using the app you accept them.

They sit on top of the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, which govern the purchase itself.

What this app is

An entertainment app about living with a cat. It records a sound and answers with a phrase or a cat sound, plays sounds that cats react to, offers small games, and contains a set of illustrated articles about breeds.

It is meant to be enjoyed with your cat, not relied upon.

What it is not

It is not a translator. Cats do not have a language that can be translated into human words, and the app does not analyse what your cat said. The reply is chosen by the app from phrases and sounds written in advance.

It is not a veterinary tool and gives no medical, behavioural or safety advice. If something about your cat worries you, ask a vet.

Nothing the app says should be treated as a statement of fact about your cat.

Subscription

Part of the app is opened by a subscription: translating, and some of the sounds and games. Whatever free use the app offers is shown inside it and may differ between versions.

The price, the billing period and any free trial are shown on the purchase screen before you confirm, and are charged to your Apple ID.

A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancelling is done in the App Store — Settings → your name → Subscriptions — and not in the app; we cannot cancel it for you.

Refunds are handled by Apple under its own rules.

Your data

What the app stores and what it does not is described in the Privacy Policy. In short: recordings, photos and your cat's profile stay on your device and are not sent to us.

The Delete all data button in the app's settings, or deleting the app, erases them for good; they cannot be recovered afterwards. Neither cancels a subscription — that is managed in the App Store.

Rights to the app

The app, its texts, illustrations, sounds and code belong to Dolzhenko Dev and are protected by copyright. You get the right to use the app on your own devices for your own, non-commercial purposes.

You may not copy, decompile, resell or redistribute it, or take its content for use elsewhere.

Your device and your connection

You are responsible for your device and for keeping it in a fit state to run the app. Removing the manufacturer's software restrictions may break the app or make it unsafe, and we do not support that.

Data charges for downloading and updating the app are yours.

Limitation of liability

The app is provided as it is. We cannot promise that it will be free of errors or available without interruption.

We are not liable for what you decide to do on the basis of what the app says, for the loss of data stored on your device, or for damage caused by a fault in your device or by third-party software.

Updates and discontinuation

The app may be updated, and features may be added, changed or withdrawn. Your device's settings decide whether updates install by themselves.

We may stop publishing the app. If that happens, an active subscription is dealt with under Apple's rules.

Changes

These terms may change. The revision date at the top of the page shows when they last did, and the current version is the one published here. Continuing to use the app after a change means that you accept it.
